Colbert's Ferry & Chickasaw Revenue Stock

B&O "Style" Iron Box Cars

This is what I was trying to scratch build. This one came out fine. I did this one grey for my road (Colbert's Ferry & Chickasaw RR). Although not having C.Fy.&C RR decals, the balance of the car is fairly true to the B&O versions of this type of car. I'm still doing salvage work on the B&O cars. A shipment of cabooses/cabeese arrived today and I now have more than enough chassis to work with for these and other projects in the pipeline.
Again, this is constructed from card stock on a caboose chassis. hand irons are formed staples. Foot irons are paneling staples bent and then inserted into pre-drilled holes. Truss rods are made of carpet thread that was soaked in white glue for stiffness. Non functional link and pin draw bars are done with 'T' sprue from other models

no, it isn't swaybacked. it's the cheap pocket camera distorting it.
